‘Fashion City’
Museum of London Docklands - October 2023
The exhibition ‘Fashion City: How Jewish Londoners Shaped Global Style’ was a lovely collection of garments, outfits and accessories relating to fashion designers and, quite often, the people who wore them. I was lucky enough to create the mounting for many different garments including a 1930s lace evening gown, a Mr Fish men’s smoking dress and two Peggy Lewis outfits - an evening dress and a skirt suit! Honourable mentions also go to the two female mannequins which I padded to fit some very petite men’s shirts and jackets, along with fabulous flared trousers and the inside of a cut-away mannequin (the outside of which was done by another costume mounter who came to help for a few days!).
